See a real report

An example of what we deliver after a session (based on a real report, shared with permission). Always three things that went well, one area to grow, and one task for the week.

About this session

Player
Year 6, midfielder
3-month goal
Stay composed and keep the ball when surrounded

What went well

1) The turn at 2:14: you set your body shape before the defender closed in. This is your biggest weapon. 2) At 5:02 you called 'behind!' to a teammate — proof you're reading the game. 3) You kept running to the end, including the minute after conceding. That foundation matters more than technique.

Where to grow

One more level in your preparation before receiving. You were scanning after the ball arrived, which left 'go forward' as the only option three times. Scan beforehand and the same situation gives you two choices.

This week's task

Scan twice before receiving a pass (just the first 10 minutes of training is fine)

Next session's theme: Whether the double scan shows up naturally in a match

A note from your coach

You're a composed player. Those rushed clearances aren't a technical problem — you simply don't have the information yet. Once scanning becomes a habit, this changes fast. Looking forward to next time.

We'll deliver the same for the player
